Project Art Distribution at Barely Fair, April 2023 - BARELY FAIR is an international art fair operated by Julius Caesar. The invitational fair presents a tiny peek inside the programming of thirty contemporary art galleries, project spaces, and curatorial projects during “Art Week” in Chicago. Included spaces exhibit works in 1:12 scale booths built to mimic the design of a standard fair.
For Barely Fair, I created miniature hand-knit and woven paintings each titled Cast Off, each 0.5 inches x 0.5 inches. At this scale, they’re hardly begun when it’s time to end—cast on, cast off.
